Shift handover for spas and salons — treatment rooms, supplies and tasks ready for the next shift
In a small spa or salon the same team looks after clients, treatment rooms, supplies and the front desk — often across different shifts. HandoverBoard is one shared board of sticky notes where everyone can see what needs attention and who is handling it, instead of relying on scraps of paper, group chats and memory.
Treatment rooms ready for the next appointment
A room wasn't cleaned after a late appointment, or towels and linen need changing before the first client of the morning. A note says which room needs what, and once it's marked done the board shows who handled it.
Opening and closing routines
Heating the sauna, checking the pools, laundry, cashing up and lights. When part of the routine is left unfinished, the evening shift leaves a note and the morning shift knows exactly where to pick up.
Supplies to restock
Massage oil, disposables or retail products are running low. Put it on the board so whoever handles orders sees it — and the same product doesn't get ordered twice.
Equipment and facility issues
A treatment table won't adjust, the shower runs cold or the ventilation is noisy. Attach a photo to the note and pin it to the top of the board until it's fixed.
Practical notes around bookings
Appointments stay in your booking system, but they create practical work: the first treatment starts earlier than usual, or a group booking needs two rooms at once. A note says what to prepare — no client details needed.
Tasks for the next shift
Unfinished laundry, a delivery to send back or a new price list to put up. Address the note to the next shift or a specific person, and the "Are these done?" pile keeps open items in view.

How HandoverBoard fits a spa or salon day
Address a note to a specific person or a whole shift, such as the morning or evening team.
"Requires action" and "For info only" keep tasks separate from announcements like a new price list or changed opening hours.
A photo on the note shows the fault or the supply shelf without a long explanation.
When it's handled, the note is marked done and moves to the archive with its comments.
Keep the board to rooms, supplies and tasks — not client names or health-related details. Those belong in your booking or client system.
