HandoverBoard — one shared board for every shift handover

Leave a note for the next shift, mark things done with your name, and see at a glance what is still open. Like sticky notes, except nothing falls off the wall.

For example: “Product out of stock on shelf 12 — more has been ordered”

  • Nothing stays unresolved
  • No more lost sticky notes
  • Next shift up to speed instantly

How it works

  1. 1

    Leave a note

Write a short message and pick who it’s for.

    New note

    The espresso machine needs descaling

  2. 2

    Next shift sees it

It stays on the board instead of drifting into a feed.

Unlike Teams or Slack messages, open tasks never disappear into the channel feed.

Nothing gets forgotten

Messages for the next shift live in one place — not on paper scraps or in someone's phone.

See at a glance what's done

Every note is completed with a name and a timestamp. Anything open for over a day moves into the unresolved items list.

Shared device or your own

Works on a shared computer or on everyone's own phone. One code per team — no personal accounts to manage.

Frequently asked questions

Is this free?

Yes — HandoverBoard is free to get started, with no credit card required.

How many users can one board have?

There's no fixed user limit; add as many named users as your team needs from the settings.

Can I delete my board?

Yes, by yourself. Choose "Delete this board" from the board name menu and a one-time confirmation link is sent to the email used to create the board. The board and all its notes, comments and users are permanently deleted only once that link is opened. If you can't access that inbox, contact hello@handoverboard.com.

Where is my data stored?

Data is processed on EU/US cloud infrastructure via Supabase — see the privacy page for details.

How secure is a shared access code?

The code is verified server-side and each board's data is isolated from other boards — the code is never visible to them. It is, however, a shared-device-friendly code, not a per-person password.

Does this work on phones?

Yes — it works in any browser on phone, tablet or computer, with no app to install.

Does everyone need their own account?

No — boards use a shared access code and each person picks their name from a list, so no individual logins are needed.
